Interview videos are a reasonably simple affair.  They’re typically shot with two cameras, a basic lighting rig and an audio recorder.  The interview questions can be edited out or left in depending on what’s required.  Several interviews from different staff members can be edited together to build a story line, or a single member of staff could do it in its entirety.  In either form, cuts can be made during editing to interlace it with B-roll, stock footage, animation, motion graphics etc.

In their simplest budget from, they can be recorded by just one operator.  Once the cameras and lighting are in position and set, the operator can will be free to ask the interview questions.  However, if the questions are to be part of the edit, then a dedicated interviewer would be recommended.

One of the key elements to a successful interview video, is ensuring that the person being interviewed, know their lines and can express them in an interesting and exhilarating way.
